Our Story
Made by a rubber workshop. Brought home for your kitchen.
In 1993, a young couple opened a small rubber workshop, molding precision seals — the unglamorous O-rings and gaskets that have to hold, every time, or something breaks.
Thirty-three years later, that workshop is still family-run, and still obsessed with the same thing: making rubber and silicone that actually does its job.
So why kitchen mats?
Because the skill turned out to travel. The same feel for silicone that keeps an industrial seal tight is what makes a drying mat thick enough to hold real water, flexible enough to roll up, and durable enough to survive the dishwasher for years — not months.
When we looked at the dish-mat aisle, we saw the same complaints over and over: mats too thin to stop a puddle, mats that seep water underneath, mats that mold, mats in colors nobody wants on their counter. We'd spent three decades solving exactly those kinds of "it has to work" problems. So we made ours to fix every one.
How we design
We read the reviews — hundreds of them, ours and everyone else's — line by line. Every complaint became a design rule: keep water on top and off the counter, make it thick enough to feel real, make it rinse clean with nothing to trap moisture, and offer colors that actually look good in a real kitchen. Then we put it in front of 6,700+ buyers and kept refining.
One workshop, two ranges
Everything we make comes from the same hands. ZLR Home is our kitchen silicone — the fresh, good-looking pieces that keep your counters dry. ZLR Pro is the rubber parts side — O-rings, grommets and sheet for repairs and DIY. Different jobs, same 33-year craft underneath.
